Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center, part of Parkridge Health System, seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the med/surg unit. You will collaborate with providers and the care team, advocate for patients, and uphold standards of practice and the organization’s values.

You will assess patients at admission and each shift, administer medications, document care, and educate patients and families about conditions and treatments, ensuring safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date
• Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and shifts, report changes promptly
• Administer prescribed medications and document care in medical records
• Provide prompt, compassionate patient care and respond to requests
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up measures
