Job summary

Mercy Hospital Perry – Med Surg is seeking a PRN RN to provide patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with other departments, and evaluate care effectiveness. The role emphasizes maintaining patient rights and confidentiality while upholding Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Physical requirements: ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking.
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire; ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TP etc. as required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and coordinates patient care with other departments.
