Job summary

Osceola Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to join as a Preceptor on a 0.9FTE Day shift. The RN will coordinate and provide direct patient care, educate patients and families, and support transitions of care.

The role requires leadership in precepting new staff, mentoring teammates, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives while upholding OMC standards of compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Licensed in the state of Wisconsin and in good standing.
• Active BLS required.
• ACLS or must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled nursing care in accordance with Nurse Practice acts.
• Followsthe Standards of Nursing Care and Nursing Process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Performs and documents timely and accurate patient assessments.
• Delivers and documents patient care as outlined in Nursing Standards of Care.
• Plans and documents focused care plans with goals for each patient.
• Evaluates patient progress toward goals.
• Participates in interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Implements and completes clinician orders accurately and promptly.
• Demonstrates quality by administering medications per nursing standards and OMC policy.
• Strives to exceed patient experience standards in all interactions.
• Demonstrates teamwork and supports colleagues and patients and families.
• Exhibits critical thinking, prioritizes patient care, initiates timely interventions.
• Communicates effectively with the care team and families.
