Job summary

Temple Health is a dynamic network of hospitals, centers, and physician practices affiliated with Temple University. This RN role involves assessing, implementing and evaluating patient care under physician direction, using the nursing process and collaborating with patients, families and the care team.

The position requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program and a bachelor’s degree, plus PA RN licensure and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 2 years experience in area of clinical specialty preferred.
• PA RN license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Multi State Compact RN License is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, implements, and evaluates care for assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician.
• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with patient, family, peers and health care team to individualize care.
• Directs nursing support staff in provision of patient care according to standards and policies.
• Professional education, training or additional certifications may be required by specialty area.

The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family member(s)/significant others, professional peers and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care. Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures. Professional education, training or additional certifications may be required by specialty area.
