Job summary

tms seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical Surgical to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for adults with acute and chronic conditions. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, administer medications, monitor progress, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe outcomes.

The role requires an ASN and California RN license, BLS certification, ACLS per policy, and experience in Med/Surg or acute care. Strong documentation and patient education are essential.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• State RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for Medical Surgical patients.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and response to treatment, reporting significant changes promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
• Float to other units as assigned based on competency and patient care needs.
