Job summary

Fairview Hospital / Cleveland Clinic is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specialized in Med Surg to provide comprehensive patient care within an assigned unit. You will assess needs, develop care plans, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role involves supervising and delegating tasks, implementing orders, and participating in safety and quality initiatives, with a focus on compassionate bedside care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school and licensed RN in the state.
• Current CPR certification; ACLS and PALS/ENPC as applicable.
• BSN preferred; two years of acute care experience and specialty certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety, and discharge needs on admission and ongoing.
• Develop individualized, patient-centered care plans based on assessments and patient input.
• Implement nursing and medical orders, ensuring appropriateness to patient status.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and participate in hourly rounding.
• Supervising and delegating tasks to healthcare team members, utilizing independent judgment.
• Evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices to meet patient goals.
• Observing safety guidelines and safe work practices, potentially acting as shift supervisor.
