Job summary

Novant Health New Hanover Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical 6th Floor in Wilmington, NC. This part-time position offers a 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) and a structured orientation with dedicated mentorship and support from experienced leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or higher.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates strong assessment skills to uncover the patient’s story and integrate data for care planning.
• Collaborates with patients and the interdisciplinary team to set priorities and goals.
• Acts as a patient advocate while implementing the care plan and educating patients.
• Administers and evaluates medications, provides routine nursing care and responds in critical situations.
• Continuously assesses progress and modifies the care plan with input from the team.
