MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient Med Surg unit in Hallowell, Maine. The role provides direct patient care on 2 West, a 36-bed med/surg unit with a small oncology niche.

This 24-hour-per-week night position offers two 12-hour shifts (7p–7a) with weekend and holiday rotation, with opportunities for growth and continuing education within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Maine RN licensure required in a timely manner.
• At least 1 year RN experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on assessment.
• Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial needs.
• Educates patients and families on care appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
• Effectively delegates care to ancillary staff and may precept students/new hires.
