Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg department at Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands in Sparta, TN. This part-time night position involves coordinating patient care, implementing care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe discharge planning.

Minimum requirements include BLS within 30 days and Tennessee RN licensure. Diploma in nursing or equivalent licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date; RN credentialed from Tennessee Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Education

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
