Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is hiring a Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts (7pm–7am). Provide direct nursing care, coordinate multi-disciplinary care, and manage patient discharge planning under established policies. Eligible positions offer generous benefits and a bonus up to $20,000.

Required BLS within 30 days of hire and Alabama RN license; a Diploma in Nursing is required at hire, with licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing. Work location is UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham.

Qualifications

• BLS certification; provider type within 30 days of hire.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
