Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical-Surgical Unit in Marquette, MI. This full-time position (0.9 FTE or 72 hours per pp) offers nights (7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays in a fast-paced 54-bed unit.

As a Med Surg RN, you will perform care plans, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with the care team to support patient transfers, discharges, and family education. Michigan RN license required; ADN required with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license required.
• Associate degree from accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collaborates across disciplines for transfers, discharges and referrals.
• Educates patient and family according to age, culture and condition.
