Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care and educate patients and families about medications and treatment.

Responsibilities include documenting tests and results, administering medications per physician orders, and collaborating with a supportive team. Florida RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse; FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
