Job summary
HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a busy Med/Surg unit. You will work with an amazing team that supports each other and values clinical excellence.
The role requires Florida RN licensure, a Nursing Diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and BLS with ACLS after 60 days. Prior acute care experience and strong communication are essential for coordinating care and educating patients and families.
Qualifications
- Must hold Florida RN license; active FL license within 60 days if compact.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS after 60 days.
- TNCC or TCAR after 12 months of hire/ transfer.
- NIHSS required after 6 months of hire/ transfer.
- Strong critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Med/Surg patients.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
