Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• Knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
• Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
• Provide age-appropriate care using knowledge of growth and development
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope
• Develop and evaluate care plans with the healthcare team
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR/Code team activities
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain infection control protocols and monitor equipment safety
• Document care thoroughly and promptly in the medical record
• Engage in professional development and quality improvement initiatives
