Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital seeks a dedicated staff nurse for the 36-bed Med-Surg unit. This full-time night position involves caring for a diverse adult patient population with orthopedic, general, bariatric, cardiac, and complex medical needs.

RN-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5-6, with PCTs 1:6-9, enabling focused, team-based care. Responsibilities include applying nursing processes, performing IV starts, wound care, NGTs, chest tubes, and blood transfusions, while maintaining standards and

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Georgia with current license
• BCLS certification required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care across assigned staff
• Support care across Med-Surg units including orthopedic, cardiac, bariatric, and complex medical conditions
