Job summary

Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility in the San Gabriel Valley region, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Unit. This is a full-time, 12-hour day shift reporting to the Director of Med/Surg.

The RN provides comprehensive care, treatment, counseling, and health education from admission through post-discharge while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to meet quality and safety standards. CA RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and strong English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. BSN preferred.
• One year of acute care experience is preferred.
• Current CA RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Proficiency in both written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, treatment, counseling, and health education from admission through post-discharge.
• Plan and coordinate care to meet core measures and improve LOS and outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
• Meet regulatory requirements (CDPH, TJC).
