Job summary

Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell, NM is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical Unit. You will coordinate and deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and support patients and families through treatment and discharge planning.

The role emphasizes ongoing learning, adherence to clinical protocols, and effective communication. Day shift with strong training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• Current RN licensure in NM or Compact State.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, and document administration.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and modify individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities as needed.
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure patient safety in all actions.
