Bayhealth Medical Center in Delaware is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg unit (3 East) at Kent Campus. The role offers full-time status with 72 hours per pay period and day shifts, in a hospital serving Kent and Sussex Counties with a strong benefits package.

The RN provides professional nursing care, develops patient-centered plans, administers medications, educates patients and families, and participates in safety and quality initiatives as part of a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree; Nursing; Or Nursing Diploma.
• Credential: Registered Nurse, Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, professional nursing care to patients in the acute care setting.
• Develops a patient centered plan of care based on individualized needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of the patient medical record.
• Counsel and educate patients and their care partners on treatment plans.
• Administer medications following the five rights of medication administration.
• Read and interpret patient information to assist with treatment decisions.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes as applicable.
• Document patient care timely and accurately.
