Job summary

Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon, MO, is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care on the 25-bed Med/Surg/Ortho unit. This full-time night shift role offers opportunities for career progression through the BJC RN Career Ladder and a sign-on bonus where eligible.

You will assess patients, develop and implement plans of care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with an interprofessional team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Nurse license required (RN)
• Nursing diploma or associate degree required
• Bachelor's degree preferred in nursing or closely related field
• Currently licensed to practice as an RN in Missouri or eligible to obtain licensure

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Educate patients and families on illness, treatment, home care and medications.
• Promote patient safety and participate in quality and regulatory activities.
• Develop and document individualized plans of care with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Communicate the plan of care across the continuum of care.
