Job summary

Hialeah Hospital in Florida is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in the Med-Surg setting. You will communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ condition, review diagnostic results, and respond quickly to evolving clinical situations under adequate supervision.

Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, have Florida RN licensure, and ideally two or more years’ medical/surgical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Two or more years of medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Current State of Florida Registered Nurse Licensure.
• ACLS certification- American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• BLS certification- American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Med-Surg setting.
• Communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Can respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient's condition or response to treatment.
• Additionally, can perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision.
