Job summary

Hialeah Hospital in Florida seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care in the IMCU/Step-down unit using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, communicating changes in condition to physicians and acting quickly as needed.

Requirements include an FL RN license, ACLS and BLS certification, and an Associate Degree preferred with 2+ years of medical/surgical experience. Proficiency with basic computer systems is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing preferred.
• Two or more years of medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Current State (FL) Registered Nurse Licensure.
• ACLS and BLS certification.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the IMCU/Step-down unit using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with supervision.
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities.
