Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit. This full-time, temporary role offers a pay rate of $60/hour and involves direct patient care, teaching, and collaboration with physicians to monitor patient conditions.

Ideal candidates hold a valid RN license and BLS, with ACLS preferred. Acute care experience and ventilator management are advantages.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
• Communicates with physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
