Job summary

Adventist Health in Marysville, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for a day shift on the Med/Surg Acute 8 unit. The RN will assume responsibility for a group of patients, using the nursing process to deliver individualized care and participate in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required at time of hire; dysrhythmia competency for all depts except Obstetrics/NICU.
• PALS certification required at various units within 1 year of hire; IV Sedation competency as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process to assess and plan care for assigned patients.
• Provide patient and family education; adapt teaching to age and needs.
• Ensure continuity of care by following physician orders and care plans.
• Delegate to CNAs and student nurses as appropriate; ensure patient safety and rights.
