Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift Locum Tenens

Ohio Nursing Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940–$1990 per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 – Ohio healthcare jobs
• Unit: General Medicine, Med/Surg Unit (11 West Doan Hall)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: November 17, 2025
• End Date: February 16, 2026
• Weekend Coverage: 3-4 weekend days/month
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Patient Ratios: 1:4

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or compact nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of recent med/surg clinical nursing experience
• BCLS and IV certification required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references (one from supervisor/manager or charge RN)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage IVs; administer medications safely
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses
• Educate patients on treatments and self-care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document care using EPIC EMR
• Float to lower acuity units as needed
• Perform med/surg procedures (Foleys, PICC, IV antibiotics, chest tubes, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, etc.)
• Maintain patient safety and comply with hospital policies
