Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in our Oro Valley, Arizona facility. You will assist with activities of daily living, record vital signs, monitor glucose, and help with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility.

You will maintain a clean, safe environment and communicate clearly with the care team.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in an acute care setting.
• Currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire; CPCT/CNA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering basic patient care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collect vitals and input/output; report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and mobility.
• Assist with patient positioning and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform finger-stick glucose monitoring; document results.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team.
• Maintain infection control practices and proper PPE usage.
• Participate in performance improvement and risk management activities.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
