Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Manager - Nurse in the Nursing Services department to lead staff development, monitor performance, manage resources and budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining a patient- and family-centered care environment.

The role supervises a team, coordinates with nursing leadership and allied departments, and drives training and professional development to meet care objectives and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• RN license and Bachelor’s in Nursing required.
• Master’s in Nursing preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff Development and Management: assists and supports HR functions for nursing service including onboarding, termination, and disciplinary action; maintains documentation and ensures compliance with NMHS policies.
• Ensures that staffing levels and coverage are adequate to meet patient care and regulatory requirements.
• Assumes managerial duties for performance evaluations and maintains systems to provide regular feedback and evaluation for employees.
• Works closely with nursing leadership and ancillary departments to maintain a positive patient and family-centered care environment.
• Assists in developing and implementing staff training and development programs to meet continuing education requirements.
• Organizes and manages nursing service activities of the unit in compliance with the medical plan of care and standards.
• Works with clinical nurse educators to coordinate educational classes and training needs related to staff development.
