Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Methodist Hospital in San Antonio is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver safe, high‑quality care in a high‑acuity setting. You’ll work with RNs, providers and specialists to support patient needs, monitor status and document timely updates for the care team.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Vocational Nursing program, Texas LVN license (or license within 90 days of hire) and one year of applicable experience

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited Vocational Nursing School.
One-year applicable experience preferred.
Active LVN license in Texas or license within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide focused nursing care for patients by administering medications and supporting interventions.
Observe patients for changes and escalate concerns quickly to support early intervention.
Document timely updates to coordinate care in a high-acuity environment.
Educate patients and families on conditions and recovery steps clearly.
Collaborate with RNs, providers, and specialists to transition patients toward recovery.
