Job summary

Jackson Healthcare Government Services is seeking a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas. The RN will provide comprehensive inpatient care, coordinate interdisciplinary plans, and adhere to military healthcare standards and Joint Commission requirements.

Minimum ADN with BSN preferred; active RN license in the US and BLS required, with 1 year acute care experience. Strong assessment, documentation, and teamwork are essential for this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

ADN required; BSN preferred; ACEN/CCNE accreditation.
Current, active RN license in any US state or territory.
Minimum 1 year RN acute care inpatient experience.
BLS certification required; ACLS/ALS preferred for designated units.

Responsibilities

Perform the full scope of professional nursing duties within granted privileges.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories.
Develop, implement, evaluate, and document individualized care plans.
Provide direct patient care including medication administration via multiple routes.
Wound care, hygiene, and mobility assistance; monitor changes in status.
Educate patients and families; document in the EMR; communicate across teams.
Supervise LVNs and support staff; ensure infection prevention and safety.
