A leading healthcare provider in Boston seeks a per diem RN to work flexible shifts, focusing on patient care across med/surg units. The staff nurse will leverage their clinical skills and knowledge to support patients with complex needs in a Magnet designated hospital known for excellence in care.
A per diem RN must be able to work 16 shifts every 6 months, with 4 of those shifts being on weekends. The schedule also includes one summer and one winter holiday shift.
The Staff Nurse is a professional registered nurse in Massachusetts responsible for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients, following the Nursing Standards of Care as outlined in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs. They must effectively manage patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating, and are directly responsible to a nurse manager or supervisor. The nurse ensures the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment exemplifying best practices. Floating responsibilities include med/surg units and the ED observation area.
