MaineGeneral Health is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Medical/Surgical unit. New CNAs are welcome and may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus when accepting a 30+ hour position on any shift.

The role involves direct patient care, greeting and assisting patients and visitors, managing phone calls, and communicating changes in patient status to the nursing team. Weekly hours are scheduled at 36 with a non-exempt status.

Responsabilités

• Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice.
• Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical and spiritual needs.
• Greets patients and visitors.
• Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.
• Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
