Job summary

Swain Community Hospital in Bryson City, NC is seeking a compassionate Med/Surg CNA to support a 17-bed unit on a PRN basis. You will work with the nursing team to provide direct patient care, assist with ADLs, and help ensure safe transfers and mobility for a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Requires NC CNA listing with the state Division of Facilities Services.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Telemetry/secretary course may be required for specific roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care activities delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and I&O.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Report abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, stocked patient rooms and common areas.
