Job summary

Mercyhealth Freeport Hospital in Freeport, IL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Med-Surg on a part-time daytime schedule. You will provide hands-on patient care, take vital signs, monitor glucose, perform bladder scanning, and assist with catheters under RN supervision.

You will float between units as needed, document care, sustain a clean environment, and participate in training new partners. A CNA program completion plus current CNA cert and CPR/BLS within 90 days are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA certificate in applicable state.
• CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on patient care and monitor vital signs.
• Record care accurately following standards and policies.
• float between units to support patient care needs.
• Assist with blood glucose monitoring and bladder scanning as needed.
• Support RN with catheter and drainage management and device care.
