Job summary

Lifepoint Health® in Clyde, North Carolina is seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Med/Surg units. This role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment and extensive benefits, including multiple levels of medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Your primary responsibilities will include performing basic patient care activities under RN supervision, assisting with daily personal care, and maintaining patient environments. You must be a certified CNA in North Carolina and hold a BLS certification.

Qualifications

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Med/Surg

Job Type: Full-Time | Nights
Schedule: 3x12, Days (7p‑7a), Rotating Weekends
$5,000 Sign‑On Bonus (2‑year commitment)

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, eating, ambulation.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assist with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.

Qualifications

• Current listing as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the State of North Carolina Division of Facility Services and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Skills: critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Other requirements: no substantiated findings of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of property within a facility that provides nursing care.
• Optional: Telemetry Technician – basic telemetry monitoring course or competency training for arrhythmia interpretation; Unit Secretary – training in basic unit secretary tasks.
