Qualifications

• 3 years of occupational experience in the nursing field
• Direct patient care experience within the previous five years in the nursing area
• Experience teaching RN courses or post-baccalaureate nursing teaching experience
• Training in educational methods, testing and evaluation
• Experience with online learning management systems desirable
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical instruction according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods
• Develop daily lesson plans, advise and tutor students, maintain attendance and grade records
• Serve as educator, role model, mentor, and facilitator
• Focus on facilitating student learning to meet course and program outcomes
• Participate in assessment of student learning activities to maximize learning outcomes
