Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit activities during shifts. The CNC directs nursing care, supports staff, and aligns with policies to sustain excellent clinical outcomes.

The role collaborates with management to improve throughput, engage staff, and enhance the patient experience, with opportunities to influence staffing, training, and operational initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of start date.
• 1 year of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit.
• Collaborates with managers to create teamwork that improves outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operates nursing strategies to improve engagement via staff rounds and hourly rounds.
• Assists with interviewing, selecting, and training staff and organizes performance actions as needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
