Grand Canyon University seeks a Full-time MedSurg Clinical Faculty member for the Accelerated BSN program in Tucson. The role involves teaching, assessment, and collaboration with faculty to support students in their clinical and lab experience.

Qualifications include an MSN, at least 2 years of medical-surgical nursing in the last 2 years, and an AZ (or compact) RN license. Travel to clinical sites is required, with site rotations around Tucson.

Qualifications

MSN required.
Min 2 years’ med-surg nursing experience within the last 2 years.
Active, current, and unencumbered RN license in Arizona or a compact state.
Teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
Involvement in professional activities (organizations, presentations, research, publications).
Must pass a drug test.
Support of university mission and doctrinal statements.
Positive example to students by upholding the university's values.

Responsibilities

Reinforce didactic content in clinical and lab settings.
Collaborate with content-area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical/lab objectives.
Participate in grading written and clinical/lab performance checks.
Maintain communication with program faculty and director; attend select faculty meetings.
Stay current with trends and developments in nursing practice.
Ensure compliance with program accreditation requirements.
Travel to student clinical sites to observe student performance.
