The Medical Records Clerk II performs assigned medical record functions necessary for timely processing of patient information and the patient medical records. Responsibilities include admission and discharge processing, assembly of medical records, and use and maintenance.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in health related field or equivalent experience preferred
Experience
- One year clerical experience in an acute care hospital

- Knowledge of terminal digit filing system.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, hospital employees and management, and physicians.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
