Job summary

New Perspective Aberdeen Crossings in Highland Heights, OH is seeking a Caregiver Med Passer to administer medications and document care following state regulations. The role starts with 30-day Med Passer training after hire, leading to qualification as a Med Passer on the team.

Prior Med Passer experience is required for the 30-day offer. Flexible part-time schedule includes days, evenings, overnights, and rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Certified through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
• Ability to make decisions and act in the resident’s best interest.
• Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Reads and documents in all communication logs and informs the nurse when needed.
• Effectively completes incident reports per company policy.
• Accurately dispenses, passes medications and documents in the MAR with no errors.
• Assists residents with self-administration of medications.
• Counts narcotics in accordance with policy.
• Engages with residents and participates in life enrichment activities.
• Complies with training requirements and protects resident privacy.
