Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking an Advanced Nursing Extern to provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery. This PRN-Shift position supports nursing with data collection, selected technical skills, and lab specimen collection while following Alabama Board of Nursing guidelines.

Current nursing student with a high school diploma and completion of Fundamentals of Nursing Care, Pharmacology, and Medication Administration is

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Must have completed a MINIMUM of Fundamentals of Nursing Care, Pharmacology, and Medication Administration in Nursing School.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Support the department of Nursing with selected technical skills, data collection, and lab specimen collection.
• Assume additional duties within scope of role as assigned.
• Demonstrate teamwork and professional conduct in a clinical environment.
