The Medical Laboratory Scientist II at Jackson Hospital is responsible for the efficient, accurate identification and technical analysis of constituents or organisms present in the human body that may be related to disease. The role also reviews all technical work performed by Lab Assistants and performs laboratory testing within all areas of the Lab.

Credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university and meeting Alabama State Board of Health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university.
• Meet Alabama State Board of Health and CLIA personnel requirements for a Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Identify and technically analyze constituents or organisms in the human body related to disease.
• Review all technical work performed by Lab Assistants.
• Perform laboratory testing within all areas of the Lab.
