Job summary

Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to identify and analyze constituents or organisms associated with disease and to perform laboratory testing across all areas of the Lab.

The role includes reviewing all technical work by Lab Assistants to ensure accuracy and timeliness, and contributing to a high-quality patient care process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university.
• Must meet Alabama State Board of Health and CLIA personnel requirements for a Technologist.

Responsibilities

The Medical Laboratory Scientist II is responsible for the efficient, accurate identification and technical analysis of various constituents or organisms present in the human body that may be responsible for and/or related to disease.

Medical Laboratory Scientist II is responsible for and reviews all technical work performed by Lab Assistants. Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs laboratory testing within all areas of the Lab.

Experience: None

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university and meeting requirements of Alabama State Board of Health and CLIA personnel requirements for a Technologist.

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: American Society of Clinical Pathologists, American Medical Technologist, MT (ASCP)/MLS, MT (AMT)
