Job summary

The Medical Technologist II at Jackson Hospital Internal in Montgomery, AL is responsible for accurate identification and technical analysis of constituents or organisms related to disease, and for reviewing the work of Lab Assistants. The role performs laboratory testing across all areas of the lab.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and Alabama State Board/CLIA compliance. Licenses/Certifications: MT (ASCP)/MLS, MT (AMT).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and compliance with Alabama State Board/CLIA requirements for Technologist.
• Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: MT (ASCP)/MLS, MT (AMT).
• Specialized Skills: Perform and report tests within the Medical Laboratory.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to sit/stand for long periods; lift 40-50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze constituents or organisms related to disease.
• Review all technical work performed by Lab Assistants.
• Perform laboratory testing within all areas of the Lab.
