Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks a Med Lab Scientist 3 to perform and monitor a full range of laboratory tests, assist with supervising laboratory operations, and ensure quality control with minimal supervision.

You will report results, maintain equipment, and collaborate with lab staff and external customers, contributing to patient care and educational activities.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum.
• Experience: 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Certifications/registrations: Must have one certification from recognized bodies (ASCP/AMT/AAB) per list.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests in compliance with department procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Follows quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Performs instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Accurately reports test results.
• Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Maintains effective communication with laboratory personnel and external customers.
• Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.
• Demonstrates and educates laboratory beliefs and technical skills to others.
