Job summary

Digital Consultants is seeking an MECM (formerly SCCM) System Administrator to support software deployment, patch management, OS deployment, inventory, and reporting for US Army North at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX. You will interface with government and IT teams, design MECM solutions, and ensure timely delivery of critical capabilities while maintaining compliance and security.

The role requires 5+ years as a Systems Administrator, 8+ years MECM/SCCM, an active Secret clearance, and DoD

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
• 8+ years experience with MECM/SCCM for large enterprise environments.
• Experience managing the system vulnerability identification and remediation process.
• Clearance: Active Secret; DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Review test plans and ensure they meet contract objectives.
• Coordinate with IT staff, users, and vendors to resolve outages.
• Plan, design, install, and sustain MECM solutions.
• Diagnose MECM/SCCM issues across the enterprise.
• Schedule and deliver software deployments to workstations.
• Provide guidance on Windows OS management, patching, and OS deployment.
• Support surge requirements during exercises.

Digital Consultants is seeking an MECM (formerly SCCM) System Administrator to support software deployment, patch management, operating system deployment, and inventory and reporting for US Army North, located at Fort Sam Houston, a US Army post in San Antonio, TX.

Duties To Include

• Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
• Interface with other IT technical personnel, users, and vendor support service groups to ensure escalation to the point of problem resolution is reached during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
• Coordinates the planning, design, installation, and sustainment of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM)
• Designs, creates and builds MECM solutions.
• Identify vulnerabilities and work with Information Assurance personnel on reporting and mitigation strategies. Provide a prioritization scheme for systems/applications.
• Responsible for understanding end-user computing environment and providing guidance and recommendations to customers based on industry best practices for Windows OS Management, including software deployments, patch management, and OS Deployment
• Troubleshoot all areas of MECM / SCCM as required.
• Meet regularly with government and team managers to understand priorities and to ensure the successful completion of deliverables.
• Consistently meet deadlines established by management and is accountable for adhering to established procedures, and communicating risks, issues, and solutions.
• Ability to work within the confines of a set time schedule or overtime.
• Responsible for scheduling and delivering software deployments to designated workstations.
• Knowledge of Automatic Deployment Rules
• Diagnosing and resolving IT operations failures.
• Support surge requirements 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, during key exercises or real-world events.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator
• Knowledge of computer systems administration
• 8+ years’ experience with MECM or SCCM to include troubleshooting, isolating, and managing a hardware and software patching environment for a large enterprise-level network
• Experience managing the system vulnerability identification and resolution process to support network accreditation.
• Clearance: Active Secret
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification
