CRITICAL SOLUTIONS is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (MECM) in Norfolk, VA, supporting DoD environments with active Secret clearance. The role emphasizes MECM administration, automation, and cloud integration to sustain reliable deployments and infrastructure as code practices.

You will collaborate with development and operations teams to automate pipelines, enhance monitoring, and optimize performance across cloud-based MECM environments.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree with prior relevant experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• IAT Level II certification required prior to onboarding.
• Ability to access SIPRNet from NMCI location on short notice (travel).
• Experience scripting (bash, python) preferred.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining MECM environments at enterprise scale.
• Automation of MECM tasks via PowerShell, APIs, and IaC tooling.
• Strong Windows endpoint management, patching, baselines, and reporting.
• Experience integrating MECM with cloud services such as Intune and Azure AD.
• Troubleshooting MECM client/server issues using logs and health data.
• OS deployments and in-place upgrades with MECM automation pipelines.
• SQL Server administration relevant to MECM databases.
• Experience with cloud infra (AWS, Azure) and IaC tooling.
• Familiarity with RMF and DISA STIGs.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with development and operations to ensure reliable deployments and system reliability.
• Develop features with AI tooling to automate, scale, test, and secure cloud infrastructure and pipelines.
• Enhance monitoring using Splunk and dashboard tools to identify bottlenecks.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize cloud infrastructure performance.
• Contribute to SRE journey by improving build, maintenance, automation, and reliability.
• Create and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD-integrated testing.
• Design and execute failure scenario testing (network, hardware, load).
• Build automated performance, stress, and load testing systems.
• Work with SREs, developers, and ops to define reliability goals and testing strategies.
• Ensure new services undergo performance, reliability, and failure recovery testing.
