Job summary

ASML is seeking a cooperative student to join the Test and Measurement Facility in Wilton, CT, for a 6–9 month on-site placement in the Service and Enablers Department. You will participate in feasibility, robustness, and reliability testing of lithography mechatronics, contributing to system concepts, prototyping, and data-driven analysis.

You will work with robotics, precision mechanics, and multidisciplinary teams, applying engineering knowledge and industry practices to support integration

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Machine Controls with a minimum 2 years completed.
• Prior use of LabVIEW preferred.
• Prior use of CAD software (Siemens NX) preferred.
• Prior use of measurement equipment such as accelerometers, DAQ, oscilloscopes, multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Develop portions of the lithography system and/or associated tooling and test equipment.
• Work on sub-systems involving robotics, mechatronics, precision mechanics and/or opto-mechanics.
• Consider engineering specifications, performance, lifetime, failure modes, root cause analysis, statistical analysis, reliability predictions, 6 sigma techniques, measurement system capability.
• Collaborate with system architects and engineers in a multidiscipline project team to develop concepts, perform engineering analysis, build and test prototypes, partner with suppliers, analyze data and support system integration and test.
