Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics Test Engineer in Massachusetts to lead the creation and execution of test programs for subsystem and system verification. You will design test benches, select instrumentation, process data, and report insights that drive design decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems or systems of systems.
• Experience in test development within a high ambiguity environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify proper test plans and equipment needed based on program development stages.
• Design, commission, and operate test benches for robotic systems including actuators, batteries, sensors, cameras
• Perform complete system verification and validation testing to ensure successful development of new technologies and products in robotics and automation
• Process and analyze test data to determine performance metrics
• Create test reports that compare results against specifications, to feed back into design cycle
• Support new technology and product development programs
• Collaborate with engineers across various disciplines
