Phoenix Contact in Middletown, NY is seeking a Mechatronics Technician I to support production performance and equipment management. The role collaborates with engineering and quality to achieve targets and customer satisfaction, while modifying, maintaining, and repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.

The position requires an associate degree or 1-3 years in a production setting; familiarity with AutoCAD; and a willingness to travel to German headquarters for short periods

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or related field, or 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in a production environment and knowledge of industry standards.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD tools.
• Mechanical assembly knowledge and hands-on technical capability.

Responsibilities

• Support technical production performance and resources.
• Monitor equipment performance and optimize machine operation.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.
• Ensure quality standards and address non-conformances.
• Coordinate enhancements with Manufacturing Engineering and machine builds.
• Design tooling in AutoCAD and coordinate purchases from suppliers.
• Complete machine qualification testing and documentation for new equipment.
• Maintain spare parts lists and execute preventative maintenance.
• Provide technical support across manufacturing teams.
