Job summary

The Hood Container Corporation is seeking a Mechatronics Technician to install, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment, read schematics, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, upgrades, CMMS documentation, and collaboration with production teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and mechanical components.
• Experience with PLCs, sensors, and automation.
• Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on production equipment (motors, PLC systems, conveyors, sensors).
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Install, align, and calibrate electro-mechanical components and control systems.
• Read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Diagnose failures using testing instruments (multimeters, scopes, software).
• Repair or replace motors, drives, relays, panels, gearboxes, pumps.
