Job summary

Burlington Industries seeks a skilled Automation Electrical Technician or Journeyman to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems. The role works with 6-240VDC and 3-phase high voltage, reading schematics and using precision instruments for safety and performance.

Pay rate ranges from $25 to $40 hourly. candidates should have relevant experience and an associate degree or trades background. Multiple shifts available with TPM support and safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Technologies, Electrical Systems Engineering preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
• 3 years of electrical experience in controls, journeyman, instrument tech, PLC troubleshooting, DC and VFD programming or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of high voltage systems and their maintenance requirements.
• Understanding/Programming of Allen Bradley, Toshiba, Yaskawa AC drives and DC drives.
• Understanding/Programming of PLCs including Mitsubishi, Automation Direct.
• Ability to perform instrument calibrations and installations.
• Proficiency with voltmeters and ohmmeters; read and interpret technical drawings/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems per industry standards and safety regulations.
• Follow safety protocols during installations or repairs.
• Provide TPM support.
• Use voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other precision instruments to diagnose issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot problems.
• Test high voltage systems for proper function and safety.
• Document maintenance and repair activities for compliance and future reference.
